Our theme this year is promoting literacy both at home and school. We have a special visitor from the ECE department at Rasmussen College coming to read to classrooms this week and donate a brand new book to our PTP library. We also have our Bears-N-Books programs which is a literacy program that combines storytelling with other activities. We will have visits from the South St. Paul children's librarian, and we encourage all of our families to check books out from our PTP library to read at home. Fostering a LOVE for books early on is a great way to support early literacy skills!

April 15: Polar Bear Preschool Graduation pictures will be taken on this day. There is a sign-up sheet at the front entry table for families that want to sign up for a late afternoon or evening session for either family, sibling, or individual photos. All children in the center will have a picture day this fall with family sessions available, as well.

Program Description:

Pathways to Play is a high quality early childhood program that serves children ages 6 weeks through 10 years of age (or through the 5th grade school year).

We use the Creative Curriculum model (published by Teaching Strategies) in our program: a child-oriented curriculum that engages children using hands-on activities, and focuses on all areas of their development.

There are a variety of enrichment activities  such as Spanish, sign-language, fine arts, youth fitness, and literacy programs. We have a full-time cook, and serve breakfast, lunch, and snack (none of our menu items have nuts).

Pathways to Play is open year-round, with both full-time and part-time schedules available.

We are opened Monday - Friday from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm.

For severe weather, we follow the IGH and SSP School District decision for closing on school days and make an independent decision on non-school days; school closings will be posted on WCCO Channel 4 and on the WCCO website. We do have a text alert system for families that would like to be added to the list.
