FT Lead Infant Teacher

We are currently interviewing applicants for a full-time lead teacher in our infant program (children 6 weeks-16 months old). Lead teachers are responsible for classroom and staff supervision, parent communication, and curriculum planning. This position requires an associate’s degree or certificate in education or a related field; a bachelor’s degree is preferred. A minimum of one year’s experience working in a supervised classroom setting is required; specific experience working with infants is preferred.

PT Afternoon Assistant Teachers

We are currently interviewing for part time afternoon positions in all age groups (infants, toddlers, preschool, and school age). We have hours available between 2:00pm and 6:00pm, Monday through Friday – these are excellent positions for a college student with morning classes or others looking for part time afternoon work. The person who fills this position will be assistant teacher or teacher-qualified under DHS Rule 3, helping the lead staff in each classroom with curriculum, classroom supervision, and parent communication.  This position requires a minimum of one-year post-secondary education in early childhood or a related field; an associate’s degree is preferred. A minimum of one year’s experience working in a supervised classroom setting is preferred. Experience working specifically with younger age groups is preferred.

Substitute Teachers and Substitute Assistant Teachers

We are currently scheduling interviews for on-call substitute teachers and assistant teachers. Substitutes work a variety of hours, covering classrooms when our regular staff are absent. Some hours are available in advance (when regular staff have planned absences), and some hours are available on a day-by-day basis (when regular staff have unplanned absences). Because this does not require committing to a set schedule, this is an excellent opportunity for students, and those with other part-time or substitute positions. The center is open Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 6:00 pm. This is a temporary, need-based position that has the potential to move into a permanent part or full-time position as opportunities become available. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, have a minimum of 6 months of experience working with children in a supervised setting, and have completed at least 6 semester credits in education or child development-related classes from a post-secondary institution.
